While it may be one of the least desirable types of wood to build a home win, Oak flooring does have its place in the popular culture and it can have its place in your home with a little bit of work. Oak flooring needs to be heavily saturated with all the right treatments and it can not be shorted on any of the use as you don't want to be stuck with a piece of floor or wall that has a big hole in it because it is made with untreated Oak wood. However in terms of relative costs and the nice look of it oak and particularly read the Oak is a very nice piece of wood to have around the house.

If you ever considering building a small addition, guesthouse, or other space it was not a heavily traveled oak may be the solution for that. With its homogenous look and its relative grace it is tough to turn down the Oak on looks alone. And as long as you are not going to be using the space with any kind of regularity or as long as it will not be traversed daily or as long as it will not be traversed by a number of people, all flooring may be the answer. It's pretty cheap and it offers a very nice look to any home.
